This 34 second video ad is credited with raising the fortunes of New York mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio. His team knew it when they bet on the medium of video and the message.
From the New York Times: "Traditionally, New York City candidates pour tens of thousands of dollars into glossy, micro-targeted brochures offering customized appeals to lure groups like Caribbeans, Chinese immigrants and observant Jews to the polls. In July, when the campaign staff met, its members rejected that idea, deciding against sending out a single piece of mail and pouring that money into television — a decision...

Volunteering Video Services to Camp Quality
This is how is starts…
Two people are about to embark on a journey that will change them forever.
When you arrive at camp you have to get a lice check; nothing feels nicer. I love lice check, and it only gets better after that. Such a simple task…the running of the sticks through your hair, checking for the dreaded eggs. Yes, if they found anything I would be mortified, but thus far I’ve been spared.
Videotelephony Team Taking Camp by storm
Nate McNeil, freelance shooter, editor and graphic artist, and Jenni Beharry, Project Manger, for Videotelephony...
Sometimes people get a little angry.
Sometimes the customer services just isn't up to snuff.
If you feel this way you should write a letter about it. These people did and it is quite enjoyable. It's not run of the mill complaints. These are well though out and planned. Click here.
My favourite is this Abercrombie and Fitch Letter.
Just the best. haha.
Pieces of work.
Snapshots of a bigger production.
Each bit of the puzzle comes together to represent moments that occurred... long shoots or short ones with great audio and a ton editing.
Not all the talents are showcased in it but you know you're always growing..
But that's what new projects are for. New ideas, new shoot times, a fixed camera, mood lighting new characters, new plans to make the perfect piece of media. This isn't all of it. It's merely a beginning. And thank-you for those who are part of it. This is our demo reel.
Jack Layton inspired, ignited passion and was a man who holds a dear place in the hearts of many.
The Orange Crushing and a perfectly trimmed moustache are included in the great things about Jack.
He has left a party that is full of passionate people.
People don't often win hearts as easily as he did, they are not as passionate and driven, they don't stand up for what they believe in as much as they should, be he DID. This is what inspires me. This is the kind of person I want to be. I think this is the kind of person I know I wish I could be like.
A week of life...
Two of my favourite things are video production and working with children...
Imagine one week where all the while you get to laugh, play, sing, dance, run, jump and feel love surround you. Possibilities are endless, joy is never ending and you are surrounded by a whirlwind and caught up in a high you feel like you will never come down from.
That is what a week at Camp Quality is like. My friend Nate McNeil freelance worker for Videotelephony embarked on a weeklong journey of shooting, editing and fun.
When I first arrived I was nervous. Would anyone like me? Would they...
Delicious... What is delicious? Many foods!
Meal time is one of the most important times of the day.
Here at Videotelephony it is one of our favourite times of the day! To get you started on your food creating here is a little help!
Cooking and baking can lead to delicious results. There is a lovely website which uses video to help people create food. It's called videojug!
They also have instructional videos for a host of other things such as Money and Careers as well as Love and Dating.
Since I love eating I gravitated toward Food and Drink. This is a way to tell if you are doing something...
